Rip Rugby

Hi

Yesterday we played touch with Preston’s Dad

First, we had to get in groups of four or three, then Preston’s dad place five balls in the middle of all of our squares that we had to line up within our groups. then the first person had to run when all the balls were gone from the middle we got to run around and steal the other teams ball but that didn’t end out too good so we decided to do a different drill where we had one person in the middle and three people on the outside of the square and then the person in the middle had attacked the wall outside of the square without the people on the outside of the square attacking them.

My favourite part was lining up and trying to steal balls from the other team
have you ever done  rip rugby before

bye

MY poster

HI

This week we made a poster of anything that we wanted. I made my poster about dog sharks and crabs. First, we all had to do it in our writing book when we were done right, and our writing, but we got to do it on a big piece of paper like a poster. I will tell you some facts about dog sharks and cramps.

  • Did you know that dog sharks are pregnant for two years?
  • Did you know crabs communicate by moving and waving their claws?
  • Did you know the dog sharks travel up to five thousand miles?

My favourite part was so searching up all the animals, because It was very interesting Learning  about dog sharks and crabs

School production

HI

Yesterday, the whole school went to the Regent Theatre to put on a production. The name of the production is Alice Westland, when it was my class’s turn to go up on stage, and Rosie and Natalia distracted the guards, then we snuck on the stage.  Then we did our dance and I was on the top of the pyramid and that was fun. Then we went off the stage, then it was practically done. My favourite part was being on top of the pyramid. Have you ever done a production? before bye

Mammals

Hi

This week, it was show and tell, and I brought an eel for the class to look at. In my blog post today I will share some facts about vertebrates, eels and birds and dogs.

Birds: 1, birds have highly flexible necks with 13-25 cervical vertebrae. 2, the first vertebra is the atlas.

EELS: 1. They hold the record for the most vertebrates, an average of 750. 2. They have awesome flexibility because of the number of bones.

DOGS: 1, dogs have an average of 50 vertebrae divided into 7 regions. 2. The vertebrae protect the spinal cord.

My favourite part was  I got to bring my eel to school

did you know that an eel is a vertebrate

Westland High School visit

HI

This week on Friday, some Westland High School students came to our school and they played games with us. We played T ball on the field, dodgeball on the turf, and inside we constructed the tallest towers out of marshmallows and spaghetti. My favourite game was T ball, I liked catching everyone out.

How big could you build a tower made out of marshmallows and spaghetti?  Bye.

the Shantytown trip

Hi, this week our school went to Shantytown, and we got to see the old classroom.

We also got to see the old barber shop and all the old equipment they used. I really enjoyed the steam train ride through the native bush. We stopped and looked at the old Sawmill. We walked back through the track through the bush to see the sluice gun. We headed back to the old classroom to do some learning. My favourite part of the day was seeing the sluice gun and learning about gold.

Have you ever been to Shantytown before ??

Bye bye.

My kiwi art

Hello, this week we had to make kiwis first, we had to get some paper, then we had  to cut it out

Next, we had to get some moss and some sand, or leaves. We had to get some dirt and make it into paint and put it on the Kiwi that we had to cut out.  The middle part of the Kiwi put the dirt and Moss that we collected from outside, on it with hot glue

then we are done. Have you done anything like this before? Have you ever seen a kiwi in real life? good bye
