Today we went to St John’s it was fun and we learned about rescues. Her name was Nikki, she was helpful. We know what we should do in a bad situation and it was so fun. We learned how to wrap an a bandage . 
Reading
I have been learning how to find the long vowels in words. A long vowel is when the vowel says its name, like emu, name, goat, and nose.
I am reading Zak and Finn with Gillian. I like these books and they are my favourite books.
THE SIXTH ROCK
ZAK is ten years old .HE lives with Grandpa . Grandpa is ill . they are far away from home . They have to find 12 gems to help Grandpa . they miss Grandpa .
POUNAMU PATHWAYS
- We went to Pounamu Pathway. I loved it it was so fun. I learnt how far Ngai Tahu went just to fight. Some came from Kaikoura. Ngai Tahu came to take over greenstone. They would be lucky if they survived I learnt about the tribes . My group was Tane, Brandon and meee!!!!!
Matariki
It is time to celebrate Matariki. Matariki is a special time of year where we it is time to remember your ancestors and friends and family who have died.

Soccer
We did soccer today . I loved it we had 350 kids . it took 12 min and it was short . After the game we had to wait for what felt like an hour. We won most of the games but we had one tie. It was really fun, my favourite part of the day was being on the field playing soccer.

GOING TO THE Marie
This week we have been reading a story called, Going to the Marae. It was about a family who went to a Marae and did jobs with their family. They lost their paint brush and bucket but they found it behind a tree. The brother Nikau had it and was painting his family on the fence.
